I stayed six lovely nights at the Tavira Inn during Semana Santa. The room was charming and clean with a spectacular private balcony surrounded by an idyllic garden. It ended up being a bit rainy, but the Inn is just as pleasant in a downpour. I appreciated the great location, the comfortable privacy, and the star treatment by Sebastiao who made me feel right at home. Thanks for the expert advice on great things to see— I loved the periscopic camera obscura in the old water tower!— and the exhilarating Harley ride. Hope to visit again in the future!

As a solo traveller in the low season, I received VIP treatment from Sebastio at the Tavira Inn. This was partly because I am female (potential girlfriends please apply, Sebastio is accepting applications!) but also because Sebastião is FULL ON! He has a total lust for life and enjoys every minute of the day. From riding his Harley to Olhão to visit the fish markets, to having a wine in the bar or flying his competition kite on the beach, there was never a day during my one week stay where Sebastio didn’t suggest some kind of activity for me to do, or show me a restaurant where I should eat! I am now leaving Tavira with windswept hair from the Harley, a few kilos under my belt, and wonderful memories of my time spent in the Eastern Algarve. Even if all the restaurants have plastic seats and TV’s (for football and neverending stories) – Sebastião pet hate! Obrigada Sebastio!

We are an active couple in our early 60s... We had the good fortune to stay at the Tavira Inn in early March 2011. Quite early in the season, and chilly, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet. (Don't let its location and the railroad tracks put you off - the train is short and doesn't run during the night or early in the morning!) A very good location only a short walk from the town's centre.

Beyond anything usual, host at a level you have rarely entered before, offering not, what you do or can expect, but offering the unexpectable - makes you falling in love with life, if you are ready!!!!!!!!!

We spent a glorious 4 nights in Tavira and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tavira Inn which was very clean, comfortable and relaxing and extremely well placed for walking to different bars and restaurants in this charming town. Sebastiao was the perfect host advising us on restaurants to try and places to visit and his bar, which Sebastiao only opens when he wants to do so, is an absolute gem to see. We really enjoyed our chats with him and the pool was great for cooling down on the very hot and sunny days that we had during our stay. The infrequent trains that went by on the overhead bridge weren't a distraction or a nuisance to us and we would definitely recommend the Tavira Inn and we hope to return again one day.

Staying at Tavira-Inn was great! beautiful, neat place, only few minutes away from the center of Tavira. Spent two nights with my girlfriende, and if we weren't short on time - would stay more. Tavira is a very fun town, and having Sebastian around is real helpfull - helped us making the best of our stay in Tavira and also planning the rest of the trip in Portugal. each advise he gave us proved itself as best we had. was great. thanks!
