Sebastio has a very cozy and comfortable place. We were travelling by bikes and were able to store them securely while we bussed to Seville. The patio area with pool is a great spot to relax. The warm towels were a nice surprise.
I would recommend staying here.

A wonderful, relaxing and refreshing stay
This is a gem of a place and a super base for exploring lovely Tavira. I could see that the location was great before I arrived - easy to find on arrival and only 3-4 minutes walk to the centre. But I was stunned by the artistic design of the Inn both inside and out. Built into a high embankment, it offers lovely views over the Gilao river and the fantastic garden that has been created uphill behind it! Then there was the beautiful terrace with a crystal clear sea water swimming pool. The interior shared spaces and the room were beautifully decorated, with real liveliness and artistry. And Sebastao is a great host as well as a great gardener!
The balcony was lovely for breakfast, but given that breakfast is self catering unless one goes to a cafe, I would have liked a kettle so I could boil water to make tea. It was okay to drink water because it is still so warm, but in the colder months of the year, I'd like to have tea. I am someone who likes to start the day off very quietly and privately...

''Caso do Rio'' for those who prefer something different & special to the generic 4* Hotels
The host Sebastiao was really welcoming and gave good tips for quality local eateries. It's easy to see the creativity, passion and effort he has put into making his home a very special place. Caso do Rio is meticulously maintained inside and out with manicured gardens and an excellent rooftop pool. The rooms are arty with lots of original paintings. The bed and linens were top quality and all in all it felt like ''Home from Home'' We both enjoyed a very relaxing 9 days at Caso do Rio and look forward to another stay in the future. Mike & Tina

"A place whose unmistakable glamor is synonymous with art, personality and simplicity"

Who appreciates the aesthetics of spaces, the personality of the environments, the pleasantness of the landscape - enjoying art, nature and valuing inspiring scenarios - should go through this accommodation. A space that combines the rustic and elegance, simplicity and erudition, nature and art. A place to meet and enjoy!

Had a lovely stay here, beautiful house in a lovely, tranquil location only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Really appreciated the sunny terrace and sea-water pool!

We stayed 9 nights at Tavira Inn and had the best room no 22. It was everything I hoped for, lovely room and spacious bathroom. The pool was very welcome too, sometimes we were the only people there.
Sebastiao was a good host and very helpful, suggesting very good restaurants. It was only a ten minute walk to the center or over the bridge. We loved Tavira, so laid back but also with lots of atmosphere in the evenings. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

I recently stayed at Tavira Inn for a week. I had a room with a balcony and a view of the river and the (majestic) railway bridge. I quickly became attuned to the trains, the noise did not disturb me - once doors are closed it is reduced to a minimum and simply becomes part of the environment.

My room was clean, spacious and very private. I appreciated the art work everywhere, it provided a different experience to staying in a bland hotel.

Sebastaio's place is perfectly situated not only for exploring the town itself but also the region. Tavira is rich in history , the town can be explored by foot easily. Catch music in one of the churches, walk to the boat taking you over to the Isle de Tavira along the salt flats and spot flamingoes, try out the local restaurants. After you have sampled all of that, take a train to the fishing village of Fuseta where, at roadside restaurants you can eat fish so fresh they seem to have jumped out of the sea onto your plate. Or, catch a bus to Santa Lucia , walk to the Island, marvel at the colours and the unspoilt environment.

There is so much to do; leave your car and experience it - Tavira Inn provides an excellent base from which to do so.

A very nice Place and room to stay for one two or more days under the railway bridge. It was no problem, just how you told us before. Much thanks for the complete introduction before. You told us many tips where to go in town, to the beach, where are the best bars and restaurants and so on. we couldn't visit everything, so our tip: take more than one night/day, because it's definitively not enough for that sweet little town. along the river to a very nice beach/island. But what's also very important to say is, that the tavira inn is a Place to feel good and where we slept very well. every thing is clean und well done. We had all we needed, and all has gone easy and without complications anyway. Thanks sebastiao from Dietmar and Petra
