The good Portuguese life. Great host in a hotel with soul. Lovely breakfast. Exciting interior with nice use of colors where everything is planned in the smallest detail. Short way to the center. The owner was available and had great recommendations for both restaurants and the trip ahead.

E-mail: 		Sebastio has a very cozy and comfortable place. We were travelling by bikes and were able to store them securely while we bussed to Seville. The patio area with pool is a great spot to relax. The warm towels were a nice surprise.
I would recommend staying here.

 A wonderful, relaxing and refreshing stay
This is a gem of a place and a super base for exploring lovely Tavira. I could see that the location was great before I arrived - easy to find on arrival and only 3-4 minutes walk to the centre. But I was stunned by the artistic design of the Inn both inside and out. Built into a high embankment, it offers lovely views over the Gilao river and the fantastic garden that has been created uphill behind it! Then there was the beautiful terrace with a crystal clear sea water swimming pool. The interior shared spaces and the room were beautifully decorated, with real liveliness and artistry. And Sebastao is a great host as well as a great gardener!
The balcony was lovely for breakfast, but given that breakfast is self catering unless one goes to a cafe, I would have liked a kettle so I could boil water to make tea. It was okay to drink water because it is still so warm, but in the colder months of the year, I'd like to have tea. I am someone who likes to start the day off very quietly and privately...

 ''Caso do Rio'' for those who prefer something different & special to the generic 4* Hotels
The host Sebastiao was really welcoming and gave good tips for quality local eateries. It's easy to see the creativity, passion and effort he has put into making his home a very special place. Caso do Rio is meticulously maintained inside and out with manicured gardens and an excellent rooftop pool. The rooms are arty with lots of original paintings. The bed and linens were top quality and all in all it felt like ''Home from Home'' We both enjoyed a very relaxing 9 days at Caso do Rio and look forward to another stay in the future. Mike & Tina

 Had a lovely stay here, beautiful house in a lovely, tranquil location only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Really appreciated the sunny terrace and sea-water pool!
