Had a lovely stay here, beautiful house in a lovely, tranquil location only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Really appreciated the sunny terrace and sea-water pool!

A casa do Rio é de facto uma agradável surpresa. O Sebastião Bastos esta de parabéns pela forma como recebe e pelo ambiente que conseguiu criar. Voltaremos em breve. Gr abraço

We stayed 9 nights at Tavira Inn and had the best room no 22. It was everything I hoped for, lovely room and spacious bathroom. The pool was very welcome too, sometimes we were the only people there. Sebastiao was a good host and very helpful, suggesting very good restaurants. It was only a ten minute walk to the center or over the bridge. We loved Tavira, so laid back but also with lots of atmosphere in the evenings. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Charmante maison, ambiance raffinée et chaleureuse. Une très agréable semaine passée dans cette chambre avec balcon, vue sur le fleuve et la ville. Bravo Sebastiāo !

I recently stayed at Tavira Inn for a week. I had a room with a balcony and a view of the river and the (majestic) railway bridge. I quickly became attuned to the trains, the noise did not disturb me - once doors are closed it is reduced to a minimum and simply becomes part of the environment. My room was clean, spacious and very private. I appreciated the art work everywhere, it provided a different experience to staying in a bland hotel. Sebastaio's place is perfectly situated not only for exploring the town itself but also the region. Tavira is rich in history , the town can be explored by foot easily. Catch music in one of the churches, walk to the boat taking you over to the Isle de Tavira along the salt flats and spot flamingoes, try out the local restaurants. After you have sampled all of that, take a train to the fishing village of Fuseta where, at roadside restaurants you can eat fish so fresh they seem to have jumped out of the sea onto your plate. Or, catch a bus to Santa Lucia , walk to the Island, marvel at the colours and the unspoilt environment. There is so much to do; leave your car and experience it - Tavira Inn provides an excellent base from which to do so.

A very nice Place and room to stay for one two or more days under the railway bridge. It was no problem, just how you told us before. Much thanks for the complete introduction before. You told us many tips where to go in town, to the beach, where are the best bars and restaurants and so on. we couldn't visit everything, so our tip: take more than one night/day, because it's definitively not enough for that sweet little town. along the river to a very nice beach/island. But what's also very important to say is, that the tavira inn is a Place to feel good and where we slept very well. every thing is clean und well done. We had all we needed, and all has gone easy and without complications anyway. Thanks sebastiao from Dietmar and Petra

Cannot recommend it highly enough. This place is perfect if you want to do your own thing and use Tavira as a base. The host is charming and helpful, the accommodation does what it needs to do, and everything is within an easy few minutes walk. Dont worry about the train line: you'll barely notice any noise. I didnt, and I'm a light sleeper!

Sebastiao was very good at responding to emails leading up to my stay. He is the only member of ‘staff’ and so I wanted to let him know my exact arrival time as this is only fair. As it turned out, my bus from Spain was early – but Sebastiao was there to greet me by my first name (which I liked) and give me a warm welcome. After having stayed in some noisy rooms in Spanish hotels, Tavira Inn was an oasis of peace and tranquility and the room had the most comfortable bed! It is not a hotel – thankfully. It’s a place for independent thinkers and those looking for something different to bland tourist hotels. A truly individual place with a very hospitable host. Tavira Inn is also Sebastiao’s home – so he is able keep an eye things and being on site makes for an orderly and peaceful place – which benefits all.
